PUBLICATION. BOOK

The laws for consumer protection in Nigeria beginning with the apex law FC CPA 2018 and other sector specific laws make provisions for the protection and enforcement of consumer rights when they are breached. However the level of enforcement of the rights of the cobsumer to an effective redress through litigation in the courts is called into question as a result of road blocks placed in the way of the vulnerable and poor consumer in a long, protracted and costly litigation in Nigeria.
This book advocates for the Nationwide institutionalization and strengthening of Small Claims Courts as a transformative solution to the systematic delays that disproportionately affect everyday citizens and the vulnerable consumer.

We fight for fairness, accountability, and justice for all Nigerian consumers.

Everyday, Nigerians who have been cheated, misled, overcharged, or sold defective products, need fast complaint resolutions, legal backing, and fair redress. This is the core of ICRP’s work.

Low-income earners, the elderly, and others with limited access to justice need guidance, protection, and a strong voice to stand for them.

Groups affected at scale by harmful products or practices. When one company/organisation impacts hundreds or thousands, ICRP steps in with public interest litigation and class action solutions.
